The video shows five policemen doing 22 push ups with their feet raised on railings outside the station.

All of them manage the feat with near perfect synchronicity, and the video has featured on the Lad Bible’s Facebook page, where it has so far been viewed 4,396,559 times and shared more than 16,000 times.

Their effort is part of a growing national campaign called the 22 Push Up Challenge, which is aiming to shine a light on the fact that an estimated 22 military veterans commit suicide a day.

A comment under the Youtube video reads: “A section of West Sussex Police Chichester raise the bar with their 22 push up challenge.

“Every day 22 veterans commit suicide, this challenge is to show support for our veterans, raise awareness of PTSD and to battle the stigma surrounding mental health problems. #22pushupchallenge #22pushups”
