Giant public artwork unveiled in Bognor Regis

A giant public artwork has been unveiled at its new home in Bognor’s Norfolk Street.

The 12-metre work was designed by local artist Ben Cavanagh and funded through the Bognor Regis Business Improvement District’s 2020 Welcoming Town budget, with materials contributed by Covers.

Jason Passingham, BID chairman, said: “It’s absolutely fantastic to see Ben’s artwork in its permanent home – he’s done an amazing job, and we’re thrilled with the results.

“It’s really brightened up this end of Norfolk Street, which will draw people’s attention to the fabulous independent businesses we’re lucky to have here in the Heritage Quarter.”

Paul Allwright, Depot Manager for Covers Bognor Regis, said:  “Covers has a strong record of supporting improvement projects within the community, and when we were approached by the BID, we saw the art installation as a great way for us to get involved in a proactive way to help brighten up Bognor Regis for the community.”
