Head shave to raise money for our NHS heroes to be live streamed on Instagram

26-year-old Toby Megeney, who lives in Elmstead Gardens, set an inital target to raise £100 for our NHS Health Heroes, but he has already received nearly ten times that in donations.

Toby said: “We are certainly in strange times, we can all agree on that. Something else I think that we can all agree on is how amazing the staff and volunteers of our NHS are.

“This is a fantastic chance to say thank you to some of those on the front line of this crisis.”

Toby will be live streaming his head shave on his Instagram account at 7pm tonight (April 3) and is urging people to join him virtually and donate as much as they can to the Supporting NHS staff and volunteers caring for Covid-19 patients fund, which has raised more than £750,000 so far.

Toby said: “The donation site will be live until May 1 so people can donate even after the shave itself.

“Amongst all of this, it’s amazing to see just how awesome people are!”
