Snowdrop, known as Snowy, was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, in 2017 and nurses from The Sussex Snowdrop Trust helped care for her.

Snowy said: “When my lovely nurse Jen first came to visit me, she couldn’t believe my name!

“I really liked Jen coming to my house or school every week, to change my dressing and do my bloods, as I hated going to hospital and she made it so much fun.

“I also really liked going out with Brigitte (health care assistant) so Mummy and Daddy could have a break sometimes.

“Now I am seven, my hair has all grown back – it’s really long and curly now!

“I am very excited about the step challenge.”

Over the August bank holiday Snowy and her cousins walked an incredible 36,856 steps, and followed it up with another 14,473 steps the following weekend.

The Sussex Snowdrop Trust is urging everyone to take on their own step challenge to help raise money for the charity after it had to cancel its annual walk at Arundel Castle Estate Park.
