Surf Snow Skate opened in South Street in the middle of the month and will be there until the first week of January.

The pop-up shop gives owner Nick Cheshire a chance to see how his business will do in the city centre.

Nick, who lives in East Wittering, also runs Witterings Surf and the Drift In café and is now looking to branch out.

He said: "It will be interesting to see how it does in Chichester. We looked at the amount of stores that are empty in Chichester and thought we've got to be able to have some sort of three-month trial somewhere.

"We've taken on a short-term lease — it's basically to get us into Christmas. We've been busy! Everyone seems to be buying Christmas presents already and we've got some decent brands and I think."

The response to the shop's opening has also been welcomed by shoppers, Nick added,

"Everyone seems to love it. They seem to think it looks too nice for a pop-up store."
