Observer readers have sent in their pictures of floods in the area.
Judy Osbourne, who lives in Sherlock Avenue, in Chichester, said she woke up in the morning to find her garden shed had blown over her house and landed in the front garden.
Miss Osbourne’s father phoned the Observer.
“The wind lifted her garden shed up,” said Mr Osbourne.
“It went up over the house and dropped in her front garden. It’s just a mower shed. It was just incredible.”
Some properties around the are still have no power in their homes.
Residents in Boxgrove and Selham still don’t have electricity.
