Plea for thieves to return stolen bike

A MUM has appealed for the public to look out for a stolen tricycle after it was stolen from her disabled daughter.

Vanessa Alexander said her daughter’s bicycle was taken from Chichester College last Thursday and released a plea to any witnesses to contact the police.

“What is so sad is that Bryony is severely disabled and this adult tricycle is her main form of transport,” she said.

“She has been in tears and is so upset that it has been stolen, she has no monies at all to buy another one, especially since the funding has been cut so much.

“She would normally cycle to college every day with her full time carer.

“All we want is the tricycle back, it is so important to her.”

The bike, is a blue Pashley tricycle with a wire basket on the back, and Bryony, who is 24, used the tricycle to travel to college each day.

Two boys were reportedly seen in Tesco’s with a tricycle soon after the incident.

Sarah Cairns contacted the Observer this morning (Friday 15) to say she had seen three ‘young lads’ playing with a tricycle in Hilary Road, Parklands.

Anyone who may have seen the tricycle or has any information about the incident should call Sussex Police on 101 or call the Observer on 01243 534153 to reunite Bryony with her tricycle.
