Selsey Police has made a £500 donation to local youth drop in centre the Phoenix Snak Shak to help fund its running costs.

PCSO Sean Keefe said: “Father Christmas came early to Selsey in the shape of myself presenting a cheque for £500 from the police property fund to Gerry and Margaret Smith, Marjorie Graham (founder members) and Martin Woods (chairman) of the Snak Shak.

“The Snak Shak is a youth drop in centre in Selsey that is run by volunteers and offers a safe place for local youths to hang out on a Monday and Tuesday evenings.

“They can chat with their friends, play games, buy hot food and even get advice from the local youth worker.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.
