Police issue another appeal after fatal Goodwood crash

A FATAL crash near Goodwood is still being investigated by Sussex Police.

The force has issued a fresh appeal for someone who may have witnessed the aftermath of a black BMW M3 hitting a tree in Selhurstpark Road on November 29 at 3.30pm.

PC Doug Park, of Sussex Police road policing investigations, said: “We are really keen to speak to the driver of a dark green Land Rover Defender, who was at the scene following the collision and would have witnessed the car engulfed in flames.”

The driver who died at the scene is still yet to be formally identified, although a spokesman said the force believes it knows who he was.

The black BMW M3 hit a tree close to Goodwood racecourse before catching fire.

A spokesman appealed to the Land Rover driver: “If you are the driver or you know who the driver is please email [email protected] or phone 101, quoting Operation Ardara.
