Police are looking for 29-year-old Robert Fitzgerald, who absconded from HMP Ford in Sunday, November 8. He failed to appear at roll call at midday and is therefore considered unlawfully at large.

He is serving a sentence of seven years and four months in prison for supplying Class A drugs, imposed at Plymouth Crown Court in September 2014.

PC Lewis Dines from Chichester Investigations said “We do not believe that Fitzgerald poses any direct physical risk to members of the public, but we would like anyone who sees him to not approach him, but to call 999 immediately. He is local to the Plymouth area and also has connections in the Hackney, Finsbury, Dalston and Clapton areas of North and East London, where we believe he may have headed to. It is not thought he has any associates in Sussex”

Fitzgerald is described as white, 5’11”, of medium build, with medium brown hair and a pale complexion. He has a tattoo of a cross on his right arm.

Anyone who has seen Robert Fitzgerald or who knows where he may be can contact Sussex Police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting Sussex Serial 667 of 08/11. You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
