RESIDENTS have learned Birdham Parish Council has been investigated by the standards board at Chichester District Council.
The news was announced at the parish council’s meeting at Birdham Village Hall.
Chairman Angela Parks said: “A complaint has been lodged against Birdham Parish Council and the clerk.
“We believe we have followed the due process and the complaint is unfounded.
“Birdham took part in an investigation by Chichester District Council.
“No further debate will be extended.”
The complaint was lodged by a resident. Clerk David Siggs said: “It is to do with a certain number of councillors in the way they handled various different things.”
