The Hole in the Wall in St Martin's Street announced today it would be stepping in and donating free and healthy lunches to anyone in need of support in feeding their children over half term.

In a statement on social media, re-tweeted by the Manchester United player, Big Smoke Brew Co. which owns the Chichester pub, said: "In repsonse to the government's decision not to help feed kids whose parents are struggling over half term, we have decided to contribute in our own small way.

Anyone who would like to take the pub up on the offer should email [email protected]. All emails will be treated with the 'strictest confidentiality' the company said.

Chichester MP Gillian Keegan, Arundel and South Downs MP Andrew Griffith and Bognor Regis and Littlehampton MP Nick Gibb all voted down the motion raised by Labour which called for the extension of free school meal vouchers into the holidays until Easter 2021 for families in receipt of Universal Credit or an equivalent benefit.
