Public invited into West Sussex care homes for open day initiative

Care homes in West Sussex are opening their doors to the public as part of National Care Home Open Day on Friday June 19.

Residents will be able to look around care homes taking part in the open day, with some putting on special events and activities.

The initiative, supported by West Sussex County Council, aims to create positive links between care home providers, residents and staff teams and their local communities.

To find out which care homes are taking part visit the National Care Home website.

Peter Catchpole (Con, Holbrook), WSCC’s cabinet member for adult social care and health, said: “The open day gives local people an opportunity to take a look around their local participating care home and join their celebration of this year’s themes ‘the arts’ and ‘valuing staff’.”
