VOTE Should developers be allowed to build on a garden at St Pancras, Chichester?

Residents in a Chichester conservation area are arming themselves ready to do battle with developers once more over plans to concrete over a large garden.

People living in St Pancras have said they are upset and disappointed over Berkeley Homes’ persistence in wanting to build on land at the back of number 118.

Resident Paul Baines said: “The only light we get will be taken away from us. The distance from the back of the first floor to the back of any house is supposed to be 22 metres, and this 15 metres in the proposed plans.”

Berkeley Homes has registered its application with Chichester District Council and is currently waiting for it to be validated.
