Rock Challenge dance show success for The Academy, Selsey

The Academy, Selsey is celebrating after achieving a number of awards at the 2017 Be Your Best Rock Challenge event which took place at The Portsmouth Guildhall.

In addition to placing second overall for its performance, entitled ‘Secrets of Whitechapel’, The Academy, Selsey - The Bridge was named the winner of several other categories.

The group were also joint winners of the YPO Award of Excellence for Choreography, the Pauline Quirke Academy Award of Excellence for Performance Skill, and the CEOP Award of Excellence for Stage Use.

The Academy, Selsey, were also named joint winners of the Hampshire Healthy Schools Award of Excellence for Set Design and Function, the Janome Award of Excellence for Costuming Character, the Radian Community Award of Excellence for Visual Enhancement, the HC3S Award of Excellence for Entertainment, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey Award of Excellence for Stage Crew, the Hampshire County Council Award of Excellence for Video Performance, and the Be Your Best Foundation Award for Healthy Lifestyle, totalling ten additional awards.
