Saracens scrum half in charity fundraiser
Star player Neil De Kock will hold a fundraising question and answer session during the Rugby World Cup later this month.
The question and answer session with the former South Africa and current Saracens scrum half will be part of a three course lunch.
The event will be on Saturday, September 19 at 1pm at Sussex University prior to the Rugby World Cup match later in the day. The event be held by Wooden Spoon Sussex, a rugby charity that aims to raise money for children disadvantaged by learning difficulties and disabilities.
On the following day there will be a second event with a full breakfast held at 9pm before the match between Samoa and the USA kicks off at 12pm.The matches will take place at the AMEX Community Stadium in Brighton, just a few minutes away from the university.In the past six years the charity has raised almost £300,000, due to the efforts of its volunteers and the support of the rugby community.
Wooden Spoon Sussex was established in 2005 and is one of 40 regional volunteer committees that arranges many fund-raising activities. Previous achievements have included a golf tournament and donating a specially modified dinghy to Sussex Sailability. Tickets for the Saturday event are £45 and £20 for the Sunday, with discounts available for those aged 12 or under.
