The annual event is the lifeboat station’s most important fundraiser and attracts a large number of people year on year.

Different events are set to take place every day during the week with Monday, August 1, kicking off with an open evening which allows the public to meet the crew at the temporary inshore lifeboat house.

Participants will also get the chance to quiz the crew on the boats, hear about the shouts they have been involved in and take a look at their kit.

The event runs from July 31 to August 7, and the week will finish on ‘Lifeboat Day’ – featuring many of the favourite attractions including a wild west show, ARO Fitness Kickboxing demonstration, the Arun Sounds Barbershop singers and a Go Kart Race.

Lifeboat Day will take place at Selsey Recreation Ground in School Lane, as opposed to Lifeboat Green in previous years.

Money raised during the seven-day-long event helps to support volunteer crews to continue their valuable work of saving lives at sea.
