SELSEY has been listed as one of the top places to be beside the sea.
Holiday Lettings, from Tripadvisor, described Selsey as having ‘one of the best beaches in the county’.
The town was published on a list entitled: “25 growing UK seaside towns you’ll like to be beside.”
Also on the list was Southend-on-Sea, Folkestone, Tenby and Bideford.
“Right on the tip of the Manhood Peninsula in Sussex is the town of Selsey,” said the website.
“Almost cut off from the mainland by the sea, locals fear that rising sea levels could eventually see the popular resort break away from the mainland.
“However, while nature allows it, Sussex will be keen to keep hold of Selsey as it has one of the best beaches in the county.
“It’s ideal for families and solo travellers alike, looking for somewhere to enjoy the relaxing sound of the sea. While you’re in town, don’t pass up on the chance to sample a local delicacy – word has it that Selsey crab is the best around.”
