St Wilfrid's Hospice opens tenth charity shop in Chichester

MAKE a house a home with help from St Wilfrid's Hospice, which has just opened a new charity shop in Chichester.

The shop is situated in Quarry Lane and specialises in good-quality secondhand furniture.

Last week the shop opened with a pop when customers enjoyed a glass of bubbly and canapes to mark its first day in business.

Director and auctioneer at Strides in Chichester, Mark Hewitt, who is also a patron of the hospice, was invited to cut the ribbon and formally open the shop.

Other attendees at the opening included chief executive Alison Moorey and trustees Liz Spence and Kay Glendinning.

The shop team is being headed up by Lewis Branson, who has been managing the hospice’s Summersdale branch for the past year.

This is the hospice’s tenth charity shop to have opened since 1987, with branches situated in Bognor Regis and Selsey, as well as Chichester.

Opening hours for the shop, next to Pampered Pets, will be 9am until 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sundays.
