Static home near Chichester is ‘100 per cent destroyed’ in fire

A static home near Chichester was totally destroyed in a blaze on Saturday evening.

The fire service confirmed it was called to a caravan fire on Vinnetrow Road, Runcton, at 18.47pm Saturday (26 September).

Three fire engines from Chichester and Bognor were sent.

A spokesman said: “On arrival a static home was well alight, and crews used four breathing apparatus, one jet, two high pressure hose reels and two thermal imaging cameras to extinguish the blaze.

“The home was 100 per cent destroyed.

“There were no injuries and the cause of the fire was accidental.”

Crews left the scene at 8:43pm.
