Staying safer on the roads with Specsavers

A hundred-and-fifty high-visibility vests were donated to Kingsham Primary School by Specsavers, located at 
65 East Street.

The opticians hoped to raise awareness of Road Safety Week, which runs from November 23 to 29, an initiative run by Specsavers’ charity partner Brake.

Mohammed Said, store director at Specsavers Chichester, said: “Now that the clocks have changed and the nights are getting darker, we want to ensure that children – and their parents – feel safe when they’re out and about over the next few months.

“By raising awareness during Road Safety Week and by offering the children these vests, we hope that they take extra care on trips and excursions.”

Hi-vis vests are available to collect, free of charge, from Specsavers Chichester, while stocks last.

Brake is a national 
road safety charity which exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily 
basis, through campaigns 
and other funding.

The charity also promotes safe and sustainable road use and effective road 
safety policies.
