SUSSEX Community Trust’s wellbeing and stop smoking teams will be at Sainsbury’s, Chichester, for national No Smoking Day on Wednesday (March 13).
They will be promoting their free Stop Smoking Clinic as well as offering advice, carrying out carbon monoxide readings and providing information to take home.
Centre for Dentistry, the new dental practice within Sainsbury’s, has teamed up with the trust for the free clinics, held every Wednesday afternoon between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
The clinic offers 15-minute individual sessions with a stop smoking advisor, giving advice and medications designed to make it easier to quit.
Dr Richard Guyver said: “As dentists we see the effects of smoking on people’s teeth, gums and mouths and are as supportive as we can be in trying to encourage people to quit smoking, which is why we have teamed up with Sussex Community NHS to support their Stop Smoking Clinic by offering our practice for the programme’s weekly sessions.”
