TEACHERS are glowing with pride after top scores from their students.
Gill Proctor, head teacher at Oakwood School, said the Year 6 students achieved 100 per cent pass rates at the entrance exams to their secondary schools.
“These wonderful results are the best ever for Oakwood and are a true reflection of everything we do,” she said, adding she was especially pleased scholarships had also been offered for sport and music successes.
“We pride ourselves on giving our pupils opportunities and encouragement in every area of the curriculum and it is wonderful to have such a broad range of talents recognised in this way,” she said.
“The Year 6 children all deserve huge congratulations on their positive attitude and hard work.
“Equally, I would like to thank all the staff in school who have encouraged, challenged and instilled confidence into the pupils, thus allowing them to perform to the very best of their abilities.”
In total, students sat 50 tests.
