Sussex Traffic: Fire causes road closure, and other incidents this evening

A fire has caused a road to be closed in Horsham.

The blaze, which broke out in a garden, sparked an emergency response to Richmond Road.

It is reported as closed both ways from B2180 Hurst Road to Gordon Road.

On the A23 in Brighton, the road is said to have been cleared after an earlier collision on London Road between A270 New England Road (Preston Circus) and A270 Cheapside.

On the A259 at Bexhill there are reports of heavy delays on Little Common Road near B2182 Cooden Sea Road (Wheatsheaf Inn).

There is queuing traffic on the A27 Upper Brighton Road at Worthing both ways between A24 Findon Road (Offington Corner,) and Busticle Lane (Hilllbarn Traffic Lights) due to roadworks.

And on the A259 at Newhaven there is queueing traffic on North Way both ways between Drove Road and Lewes Road.

Bodiam Road in Sandhurst is closed both ways due to emergency repairs from Silverden Lane to A268 Queen Street.
