Teenager dies after car hits tree in West Dean

A teenager from Emsworth has died after a crash on the A286 at West Dean.

Emergency services attended the scene at around 6.20am, today (Tuesday, April 19) to reports of a black Ford Fiesta having hit a tree.

The driver of the car, a 18-year-old man from Emsworth, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closures were in place until 11.40am between the B2141 and the Singleton Open Air Museum while forensic examinations were carried out and the vehicle was recovered.
