Teenager robbed in Emsworth

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was robbed near Tesco Express, North Street, Emsworth sometime between 9pm and 9.30pm on Wednesday (September 7).

A 17-year-old local male was riding his bike past the shop when he was approached by two men. The men assaulted him and stole his silver ‘Gary Fisher’ mountain bike worth £180 and Samsung Tocco Lite mobile phone worth £50. Following the robbery the offenders walked off down the alley at the side of Tesco Express.

The man sustained bruises to his face and back.

One offender is described as white, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 7ins tall, of skinny build, 19-20 years of age, cropped greasy dark brown hair and wearing a navy blue coloured tracksuit, black trainers and several chunky gold rings on both hands.

The second offender is described as white, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build, 18-19 years of age and wearing a black waist length coat, with a hood zipped up to the neck with the hood up

Detective Constable Simon Woods said: “The area would have been very busy around the time of the incident with pedestrians and cars passing. We would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw the offenders to contact us.

“We would also like to speak to anyone with knowledge of where the stolen items are now.”
