'Lucky' escape after crash on A27 in Chichester

A car was involved in a collision with crash barriers on the A27 on Sunday afternoon (August 9).

There was heavy traffic between the Emsworth services and A259 Cathedral Way after the accident near the Fishbourne roundabout at 2.15pm.

Lane two was closed after the single-vehicle crash, according to traffic reports.

Sussex Police confirmed there were no serious injuries.

In a post on social media, PC Glen McArthur wrote: "This what crash barriers do! Lucky lads."
