An earlier accident this afternoon is causing delays on the A267.

According to the AA, the incident involved two vehicles, which is affecting traffic in both directions between Coggers Lane (Groggers Cross) and Chiddingly Road.

There is also slow traffic on the A27 Polegate Bypass both ways between Brown Jack Avenue and A22 Polegate Road (Cophall Roundabout) in the construction area.

Lane restrictions are in place for long-term carriageway works.

The AA said the eastbound side is heavily congested.

Elsewhere there are reports of very slow traffic on the A259 New Road both ways from A280 Angmering Bypass (Blue Star Roundabout) to B2140 Station Road in the construction area.

Restrictions are in place and a speed limit due to works.

In Chichester there is also very slow traffic on the A285 St Pancras at Spitalfield Lane, according to the AA, with congestion to surrounding roads around St Richard’s Hospital.

There is very slow traffic on the A2220 Ifield Road both ways between A23 Crawley Avenue (Cheals Roundabout) and Ifield Road.
