A number of roadworks are in operation across the county, which may cause delays for motorists.

Engineering works have also closed some train services today and tomorrow (Sunday, October 18).

There are temporary traffic lights due to construction work on Sea Road around The Ship in Winchelsea.

Due to water main work in St Leonards, there are temporary traffic signals on the A259 in Marina near the Marina Fountain pub.

Near Bexhill, there are temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on the A269 Ninfield Road at Elva Way.

Elsewhere in the county, telecoms work on the B2259 Upper Bognor Road at High Street means there are temporary traffic lights in place.

According to the AA there are also temporary traffic signals due to construction work on the B2166 Pagham Road near Marsh Lane.

And in Brighton there are temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on Eastern Road near the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

On the trains, engineering work is taking place between Three Bridges and Brighton, closing all lines.

Southern, which runs the services, said buses will also replace trains between Three Bridges/Haywards Heath and Lewes (via Cooksbridge).

A reduced direct service is also operating between London Victoria and Brighton diverted via Horsham and Littlehampton with extended journey times.
