Two arrests over Chichester chicken raid

Two men have been arrested over the theft of 17 chickens from a property in Chichester.

The birds, estimated to be worth around £500, were taken from an outbuilding of a property on Vinnetrow Road between 9pm on March 24 and 6.45pm on March 25.

According to police, a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

They have both been bailed May 19.

In total 17 chickens were stolen in the raid. The owner has warned breeders to protect their a flock.
