POLICE have revealed more details of how a pedestrian was hit by a car in Chichester yesterday (November 23).
The accident happened on the Northgate Roundabout at the Orchard Street junction around 1pm, involving a purple Honda Jazz and a black Citroën Grand C4 Picasso.
A pedestrian was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, in Chichester, with broken bones.
This morning (November 24), police revealed what happened following an investigation of the scene yesterday.
A spokesman said the Citroën, driven by a 55-year-old woman from Chichester with four children aboard, collided with the Honda, driven by an 18-year-all man also from Chichester.
“Immediately following the collision one of the vehicles then mounted the pavement and collided with a 69-year-old Chichester woman passing by on foot,” he said.
“She suffered arm and shoulder injuries and was taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, for treatment.
“The Honda driver also received hospital treatment for shock.”
