RESIDENTS in Tozer Way have said they believe the man found dead this morning had lived in their road.
The body of a man in his 60s was found in the River Lavant in the small residential road off St Pancras, at 11am this morning (January 11).
Police have identified the man and informed his next of kin.
Neighbours have said they believed the man lived in a ground floor flat directly next to the river in Tozer Way and he worked as an orderly at the hospital.
Police cars, a fire engine and an ambulance were at the scene and the area was cordoned off with police tape at 11am.
The body was recovered from the river and all emergency services had left by 2.30pm.
Sussex Police has confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.
