Video: Canine Partners training session

CANINE Partners is a growing charity which trains assistance dogs to help disabled people lead more independent lives.

Puppy training lessons are held at the purpose-built training centre in Heyshott, near Midhurst, where puppies learn obedience lesson and skills.

However, the charity needs more puppy parents to volunteer to look after and train the animals before they can help and assist their future partner.

As a result of the hard work and dedication from the trainers, puppy parents and even the puppies, the charity has witnessed hundreds of successful pairings.

The full story and pictures will be in this week’s Observer (Thursday, February 28).
