VIDEO: Royal wedding celebrations in Chichester and Bognor Regis

A WEALTH of celebrations took place across the Observer area as residents' partied well into the night for the Royal Wedding.

With a reported global audience of 2 billion viewers having watched the grand service at Westminster Abbey, Chichester, Bognor and Midhurst did its bit to ensure the day proved a memorable one.

There were plenty of colourful street parties including Cawley Road, Beech Avenue and also at the Anchor Pub in Sidlesham, where a cardboard cutout of Prince William and his bride Catherine proved a huge hit.

Residents in the Midhurst area turned out to celebrate at Milland Recreation Ground and at the Cricketers Pub, meanwhile in Bognor Regis, there was more than enough people in party spirit.

Hundreds turned out for celebrations at Hotham Park, where a big screen TV was erected to show the royal wedding ceremony live. The festivities didn’t stop there, with a carnival atmosphere being created by a steel band, alongside a circus skills workshop ensured entertainment remained in full flow.
