The Met Office issued several amber weather warnings for rain across the country.

In a statement, the forecasters said Storm Christoph will bring multiple hazards to the UK this week, starting off with heavy rain and flooding in some areas.

Sussex has been placed until a 36-hour yellow weather warning for rain throughout the day and the first half of tomorrow.

As the storm moves away into the North Sea tonight and tomorrow morning, there should be strong winds in Sussex. The Met Office has told Sussex residents to expect heavy spells of rain which could lead to disruption and flooding in places.
