West Ashling holiday park proposed

A HOLIDAY park could spring up in West Ashling if plans are passed.

A planning application to develop part of Ratham Estate in West Ashling, into a holiday park for 15 ‘modern’ motor homes, has been submitted to Chichester District Council.

The plans also include a reception building, manager’s accommodation and amenity building.

A design statement by agents Lambe Planning and Design said: “The proposals would create employment and contribute a significant amount to the local rural economy which is heavily dependent on the tourist trade.”

The ‘small-scale’ park would aim to provide ‘more upmarket’ holidays for people with ‘higher disposable incomes’.
