Wind of change for Chichester shop

A women's clothing chain has asked for listed building consent to change its shop front.

Mistral moved into the space at 15 South Street after it was vacated by Fat Face which moved to larger premises in East Street.

The company, which has a growing number of stores across the country, has applied to Chichester District Council for retrospective planning consent as the building is Grade II listed.

When the company initially moved into the site, it was unaware the building was listed.

It wants permission to repaint the exterior and change the name on the front of the store.
