Farewell to centre

WE, THE Southern Writers’ Conference, came to the Earnley Concourse in 1981, and as their secretary I would like to express our gratitude to Owain Roberts, administrator and his wonderful staff.

Their kindness, efficiency and intelligence are unsurpassed by any of the very many conferences I have attended over the past 30 years.

All our members are deeply upset by its closure. It has been a very special place to every one of us and even at this late date we are hoping for a miracle of our own.
