THE team at Bersted Arts would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us during the last year.
2014 saw us grow far quicker than we could ever have hoped.
In the last 12 months we have set up the Bersted Community Choir which now has close to 50 members and has already sold out two local venues with some stunning performances; we went into primary schools to run anti-bullying and confidence-building workshops, we ran an Easter community event for young families at Boxgrove in Chichester, our photography club continues to go from strength to strength, and our singing trio
The Bersted Boys have sold out three local venues throughout West Sussex with their dazzling shows.
To top it all off we were thrilled to win the Judges’ Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Arts’ at the recent Observer Community Awards.
None of this could have been possible without the support from family, friends and, of course, the local community who are central to our success and why we do what we do.
2015 will see so much more including plans for a youth choir and the introduction of our programme of drama that will culminate in our first play next autumn.
Finally may we thank the Observer series for their continued support not just for us, but for all the local hardworking community groups in West Sussex who rely on local media to promote what we all do.
We are truly grateful.
