LETTER: Walking into paving danger

MIDHURST is currently experiencing many millions of pounds of investment, as has already been reported.

I now speak for all residents and visitors when asking for serious consideration to be given to the replacement of the appalling paving, particularly in North Street, which naturally bears the brunt of pedestrian traffic.

I have tripped up and fallen several times so now, at the age of 75, I make sure I watch where I step as I negotiate the varying surfaces.

With the Midhurst population expanding due to house-building and tourism, it is particularly vital that we all have level and safe pavements as we go about our lovely old town.
