Parking hell

Isn’t there enough controlled parking in Chichester?

By mid-morning at any time of year, it can be hell trying to find parking in the city-centre car parks.

If the people who currently park in the few remaining un-regulated streets are forced to use the main car parks because of the unavailability of street parking, this will ensure visitors to Chichester, being unable to find spaces in the car parks will, therefore, take their custom to a more car-friendly town.

I welcome restrictions where parked cars cause an obstruction but, to impose restrictions because some residents think that they personally own the strip of highway outside their house is wrong.
