WEST Wittering Players would like to thank everyone who supported their autumn production.
The play was very well received in the village.
Our thanks go especially to Sayas News in West Wittering for the wonderful support they give to us every year.
They always sell our tickets for us and their support is so much appreciated by the players.
We would also like to thank the Observer for their excellent article and Splits Bakery in East Wittering for providing us with ‘exceedingly bigger buns!’
Our thanks also go to Kings Bookshop and Mr and Mrs Connon for putting out our large posters.
We thought when Calendar Girls was first suggested that because it was a well-known play, we may be able to run the play for an extra performance.
We had no idea the tickets would sell out within a few days of going on sale, or that we would have to do two extra performances.
We even sold out of our first run of Alternative Calendars and had to order some more.
In all, we sold 400.
We are delighted to announce that, thanks to the generosity of our audiences, we raised the amazing sum of £4,500.
This will be divided equally between St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
