This historic village is one of a kind too. With ancient churches, thatched cottages and beautiful gardens aplenty, Walberton is an extremely sought after area.

Located on South of the Downs between Chichester and Arundel, Walberton  is less than two miles away from Barnham train station, which has a direct service to London Bridge and Victoria Station.

There is also a fascinating mix of homes from the 60s, 70s and 80s as well as 17th century cottages and houses.

“It is a beautiful and thriving village which dates back to Saxon times,” describes Sara Morgan, Senior Negotiator at Sims Williams.

According to Sims Williams the prices start at around £325,000 for a three bedroom semi-detached house and £375,000 for a two bedroom apartment in the Grade II listed Walberton Park.

Properties can come with a price tag of up to £2 million.

“The population ranges from young families to active retirees and everyone in between,” explains Sara.

“It is a village where you can get involved if you wish, but equally have some privacy and peace and quiet to get away from the stresses of modern life.”

Although a quiet village, there’s still plenty for residents to do.

“Walberton is one of the few villages that still has a village green and a pond, a post office, a primary school and community play centre and churches,” Sara says.

“There are also lovely walks for wildlife enthusiasts, as well as a golf and health club at the Avisford Park Hotel.

“Walberton has its own Cricket Club and numerous other clubs and societies for young and old alike.”

Or if you would prefer a quiet pint in the sunshine, the famous Holy Tree Pub is a real rural gem too.

With its quality pub meals and fine ales, this quaint countryside retreat has been at the heart of the community since its creation in 1867.
