Bognor fishing festival will be bream come true

The 48th Bognor open boat fishing bream festival is scheduled to be held this Sunday (May 20) from 8.30am to 4pm.

Promoted by Bognor Regis Amateur Angling Society, booking-in for the event is on the day, from 7.30am at BRAAS boat pound, Admiralty Gardens, Felpham, or at Littlehampton Marina at The Boat House Cafe. Bring your own boat -visiting boats are welcome. Entry is £10 for seniors, £5 for juniors, £1 pool. There will be cash prizes subject to entry.

Meanwhile an open beach competition is planned for Saturday, June 2, from 7pm to midnight at West End Beach, Bognor.

Booking-in and the draw for pegs are from 6pm at Marine Drive West, opposite The Waverley pub.

Entry is £8 for seniors, £4 for OAPs/juniors, £1 pool round, £1 flat. For information call John Small 07799 762377 after 5pm.

A club match was at Bognor bandstand.
