Bognor finished third in the Sussex festival.
First up in Bognor’s pool were Haywards Heath.
A 3-0 scoreline against the eventual champions did not reflect the game as all Heath’s scores were breakaways.
This was a good display in attack and defence from the whole squad.
Crawley were next and a comfortable 6-0 win saw tries for Clark, Spurle, Hayes, Scott darling and two from Sam Haigh.
Midhurst were much improved but two tries from Fadera was enough to give Bognor victory.
A poor defensive display against Horsham allowed them a win and, for Bognor, set up the third-place final against Hove.
Bognor have never beaten Hove in a festival but another fine try from Fadera and a magnificent defensive display gave them a well deserved victory – the perfect tonic for next weekend’s Dorset tour. BOGNOR: Fadera, Joyce, Wright S, Wright A, Barker, Robinson, Peterson, Orchard, Scott Darling, Spurle, Clark, Corbould, Ide, Haigh, Henton, Hayes
