Celebrate St Patrick's Day at Fontwell Park
After the biggest horse racing festival in the world comes to an end, keep the spirit alive at Fontwell Park for seven races and a host of Irish fun.
The annual St Patrick’s Raceday returns this Saturday with live Irish music from the Cracklin’ Griffins and Irish food and drink including the very aptly named “Galway Girl Pulled Pork”.
After the Fontwell abandonment on March 8, the luck of the Irish is shining on Fontwell Park as this warmer weather we have seen this week has been much needed for the Sussex Course.
The last meeting raced at Fontwell Park was the National Spirit Hurdle and saw a treble from Gary Moore which has jumped him to the top of the course Leaderboards, overtaking Neil Mulholland and Paul Nicholls. Gary has four entries for this Saturday and will aim to increase his lead as the National Hunt Season slowly comes to an end at the end of April.
Ireland v England kicks off at 5pm and rugby history can be made. Fontwell Park will be transforming the onsite marquee into the dedicated beer and rugby tent where the atmosphere will be electric as everyone cheers their country on. Plus Marston’s will be supplying a host of local ales from Hampshire which can only be found in the marquee.
You can order your tickets online now at www.fontwellpark.co.uk or over the phone on 01243 543335 and save money by purchasing in advance.
Top Tip: Upgrade your ticket for the Beer & Rugby tent before they sell out. This will become one of the best places in Sussex to catch the action from the RBS 6 Nations and watch as England attempt to make history.
