Focusing on all disciplines and taking on more confidence in downhill since her top results at the Delancey British Championships in March, the Chichester High School sixth-former, sponsored by Salomon, Ski Bitz and Vola, less than halved her fis points in the New Season Downhill races.

The British Ski and Snowboard Athlete said: “The past five weeks in Chile have been something I will never forget. Training with the British Ski Academy and with the support of Artemis, I competed in 11 races with six top-ten results, five personal bests – two in downhill, two in Alpine combined and one in Super G.

“To top it off, I’ve had some of the best training conditions of my life so far.”

Cooper is spending three weeks back at the ever-supportive High School sixth form before heading out to Hintertux for more training – before hitting the European circuit starting December/January.

“My goal this season is to compete at the Junior World Championships in Sweden to follow on from my amazing experience at the Youth Winter Olympic games in Lillehammer, Norway, last February.

“There are so many people I would like to thank, including the constant support of the Rotary Club of Chichester Priory. Please follow me on Facebook, Yasmin Cooper Athlete, to see who my great sponsors and supporters are.”
