Bognor's fabulous August Cup run continues - but Aldwick's Sussex Slam hopes have ended.

Here are the latest cricket reports from around the Chichester and Bognort areas...

However, a welcome return to form from Josh Sargeant (3-18) accounted for Pullan, De Lacy and Bradley, and when Joe Gilligan clipped Ben Woolnough to Mike Harris, St James were floundering at 30-4.

Longley continued to bat well, despite offering a couple of chances, but could not find a partner, Sam Adams taking 2-30 to rip the heart out of the St James middle order.

When Joe Ashmore (3-11) had Longley (55) caught and bowled, the tail quickly subsided, St James finishing 95 all out.

Bognor’s response was initially chaotic. Ryan Maskell edged Jordan Shaw to Gilligan in the first over, and was followed back to the pavilion by Tom Woolnough,, Taylor Jaycocks and Josh Seward, leaving Bognor in a hole at 24-4.

As Bognor inched towards the target, Ashmore really cut loose, reaching a deserved half century (54*). With Harris (17*) supporting at the other end, Bognor ran out comfortable victors by six wickets, and move to a final against St Peter’s of Brighton at a neutral venue on Saturday.
