The pair were involved in a sickening collision at Arundel Castle this afternoon when both went for a catch. Three ambulances went on to the field to treat them, before they both acknowledged a large crowd of 8,500 as they were lifted into the ambulances.

Play was abandoned, with Sussex 141-7 after 18.3 overs.

Surrey tweeted: “Latest: Moises has had X Ray on jaw and awaiting results. Rory waiting to see specialist and is chatting to staff.”
