Cricket-mad youngsters on the Sussex community junior roadshow at West Wittering Cricket Club got an unexpected surprise when they were able to see the Royal London One-Day Cup Trophy.

The trophy is on a tour of all 18 counties and a short hop over the border from Hampshire last week gave the children in attendance the chance to have their photos taken with trophy and indeed Sussex’s ever-popular mascot Sid the Shark.

During the school holidays, Sussex Cricket in the Community visit a number of affiliated cricket clubs, bringing fun-filled activities led by a number of our fully qualified Sussex Cricket coaches, as well as brand new inflatable equipment which is new for this summer.
